Mochikas is based out of Vancouver, BC. The idea for our business is simple: sharing the food and art of Peru with everyone. We accomplish this by offering authentic Peruvian cuisine, quality food products, and unique ceramics and jewellery that are special to Peru.

We import food products that you would typically use in Peruvian cuisine and also special foods that are eaten during different holidays and special occasions throughout the year. Our signature food product is Sacha Inchi. Sacha Inchi, also known as the “Inca nut”, is a nut that is found in the Peruvian Amazon. It is a superfood and the only one in the world that contains Omega 3, 6, and 9, as well as antioxidants, high-quality protein, and essential and non-essential amino acids.

From the catering aspect, we prepare authentic Peruvian dishes with quality imported ingredients. Our signature dishes are typical of what you would find in Peru and our menus can be customized for every budget and event.

In March 2010, we opened Vancouver’s first Peruvian cafe, Mochikas. Mochikas is open 6 days a week. Mochikas is Vancouver’s authentic Peruvian food connection!

The handmade ceramics are selected with more modern tastes in mind as well as introducing traditional pieces to local art lovers. We also have a beautiful showcase of unique Peruvian- designed sterling silver jewellery.
